Coach Jacket Made from 100% Ramie (Choma) Deadstock High-Density Fabric.

Crafted from a dense weave of deadstock 100% ramie, this coach jacket features a tightly woven double-thread construction in both warp and weft, giving it a crisp drape with no transparency and excellent wind resistance — an ideal texture for outerwear.

"Ramie, which we believe has an exceptional affinity with indigo dye among all natural fibers, is inherently stiff and typically unsuitable for clothing. For this reason, we have customarily used it for Noren curtains and panel artworks. However, this particular fabric defies that convention. To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we’ve fully produced this piece in-house, from dyeing to sewing."

The jacket features our 10th anniversary commemorative tag, snap button front, seamless sides, elasticated cuffs, and a cotton drawcord at the hem. With wear, it develops a unique texture unlike synthetic nylon — evolving into something entirely its own.

Please note:

  • Due to the unique characteristics of this fabric, fading (known as “yake”) along creases is likely to occur. Minor irregularities are part of the fabric’s natural texture.

  • Limited edition with commemorative 10th anniversary embroidery.

  • We recommend that you gently hand wash items with detergent and lukewarm water the first 2-3 times after purchase. Regarding tapestries, clothes, and other ornamental items, we recommend that you hand wash with warm water once every six months to a year to get rid of any excess dye. Please use a detergent that does not include any whitening or bleaching agents. Although BUAISOU’s indigo dye products have been stripped of excess dye using natural dye stripping agents before purchase, there is still a possibility of color transfer with harsh rubbing or other close/vigorous interactions. While brown or yellow pigment may appear during washing, this is a chemical component unique to the indigo dye we use, whilst doing this repeatedly, you may remove the excess dye and be left with more vivid colors than before. This is a very special trait of ours, and why BUAISOU’s indigo dye products are the best.

    • Because the products are handmade, each item’s colors and patterns are unique. * The dye may react to ultraviolet rays such as sunlight and discoloration may occur. Please keep away from excessive ultraviolet rays or sunlight. In the unlikely event of discoloration, place the item in hot water overnight, wash, and repeat. Using a washing machine is possible (with the delicate wash function).
