Canvas Kit Bag with Shoulder Strap
A large-capacity canvas kit bag with a detachable shoulder strap.
Originally designed as a large bag for pilots to carry their full set of gear, it retains the sturdy, simple construction of the original while adding a removable shoulder strap. When worn over the shoulder, the large bag sits comfortably against the body, keeping the contents from shifting around as you walk.
To create a khaki-like color using indigo, we first dye the canvas with indigo, then repeatedly apply our own Kakishibu (persimmon tannin) and iron mordant. This process creates a deep, rich, and complex color.
Each bag is indigo-dyed and finished entirely by hand in natural sunlight, with the color carefully observed throughout the process. As a result, there will be variations in color from piece to piece. We recommend seeing the bags in person at our store whenever possible. For online orders, we will select a bag with a color as close as possible to the one shown in the product images.
Due to the nature of the materials and process, wrinkles and unevenness from the kakishibu application may occur. Please understand that these are natural characteristics of the product.

These variations are not imperfections, but part of the unique character and depth inherent to natural dyeing—something fundamentally different from printed or synthetic-dyed products.
